My 84 targa is a lovely green whose luster is deep and consistent throughout. Nevertheless, the front bumper, hood, windshield frame, mirrors and rear fender fronts are pitted from the previous owner's auto crossing, etc. Also, very minor bubbling occurs along the rubber seams dividing the front and rear quarter panels and there are some tiny dents and scratches here and there. I've been told a good glassirut respray of the front would run approximately $2500 but that I should have a full respray instead at a cost of $6500. I'm wondering: a) if this sounds reasonable; and, 2) if there is another way of addressing the minor bubbling that occurs on an otherwise beautiful vehicle.
I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.
